Even some of the players with a secure employment have things to worry about. Most disconcertingly for the 49ers is the play of struggling cornerback Nate Clements, who played just one series but still found time to surrender a 39-yard touchdown pass to Kassim Osgood.

 

That was Clements' last play before the real thing. The 49ers open the regular season next week

"Nate knows he has to get better,'' Singletary said. "He has to be more detailed about what he's doing and be more consistent. We'll address that going forward."

I'm sure his meager $80 million contract was weighing on his mind. Just ask Jason Peters, how is a guy supposed to keep his mind on the game when he has to feed his family?

except for phat pat williams (who was my favorite bill) and london fletcher the bills have looked pretty brilliant in who they let go. i don't think clements would crack our starting lineup come week 8 of this year.

On the same token, it might show the lack of talent the Bills had in the first place.
