Realist Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 That's what I was wondering, did DJ and Schonert discuss before hand who they think is going to be let go, or are they going to go with what AVP thinks? Wonder how all this is going to effect the decisions.
BuffaloBill Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 You would have to assume so but it is hard to know what specifically might change.
eSJayDee Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 One thing I thought of is that it makes it more likely that we'll keep 3 QBs. W/ AVP doing dbl duty as QB coach & OC, I can see Hamdan's role as "sounding board" being more important.
DrDawkinstein Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 first thing i thought of today when i heard the news: "Does this mean McIntyre is cut finally?"
Arkady Renko Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 first thing i thought of today when i heard the news: "Does this mean McIntyre is cut finally?" He's probably more likely to stay. If they de-emphasize the no-huddle, they have more need for a FB.
Typical TBD Guy Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I'm actually wondering how this might affect the arrangement of the starting OL. Perhaps Turk was a fan of the ineffective: Walker-Wood-Hangartner-Levitre-Butler While Jauron prefers something like: Bell-Wood-Hangartner-Butler-Walker
Wilson from Gamehendge Posted September 4, 2009 Author Posted September 4, 2009 Like I just mentioned in another thread, I think this has to do with given AVP & Studesville a chance. Dick Jauron probably knows he won't be around at the conclusion of this season. Maybe he feels due to the differences in philosophies, these 2 young coaches should be given an audition for a full season, rather than let Turk keeping holding back the offense.
'64 Bills Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I think the assistant coaches have most of the input regarding positional cuts. They work with these guys every day. I don't think there is enough overall talent on the roster to make much difference as to who stays.
