DarthICE Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 LMAO at TO....priceless! I for one don't like it. That means we have wasted the entire offseason. Turk should have been fired last year, a new OC brought in that could play to our strengths. Now we have AVP who has ZERO playcalling experience running the show. Damned if we do, damned if we dont.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 LOL...sounds like the Bills need to fire their IT department as well. Maybe Turk can do a better job at that and let the IT guys call the plays on Game Day? It'll be revolutionary! It's only the preseason!!! Once the regular season starts, the IT guy will figure it out and can game plan for the pressers.
DrFishfinder Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I think Snert finally went to Ralph and came clean about the JP call against the Jets, last season. He just couldn't take it no mo. Dr. FF
8-8 Forever? Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 wow. wonder who's going to be in charge? this does not bode well for next monday's game. cost cutting move by Ralph . Can't keep those costs low enough. As I've said many times, DJ gone by game 10 , april is interim coach , and we get Gruden for next year. Start all over again. then repeat every 3 years until real ownership takes over...
WellDressed Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Well, home made cookies are better than store bought, most of the time.
nodnarb Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Did anybody hear ANYTHING? I saw a glum face and static. Maybe that's the theme of the Bills 2009 season: Glum face and static. sigh
PromoTheRobot Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 You knuckleheads broke the WGR feed too. PTR
first_and_ten Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Yes, and don't forget DJ hired this guy without interviewing a single other candidate. No offense to AVP, but he now has been hired for the job without Dick interviewing a single other candidate. This is not how to build a winner. Jauron blew it 2 years ago. He blew it two years ago, and he continues to blow it on a consistent basis...talk about continuity.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 To all those who regularly slam the site, the story was broken by... ProFootballTalk. And it's not the only big story they've recently broken.
8-8 Forever? Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 wow. wonder who's going to be in charge? this does not bode well for next monday's game. A combined Vince Lombardi/Tom Landry clone wouldn't win with this group against the Pats on Monday night. Piece of advice: TIVO and decide later whether to watch it. Trust me. this will be ugly.
FergsKU Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Talk about a delayed reaction. So what now? The Bills win 4 games and then Jauron gets fired? God why couldn't they just can him and Brandon. Hire a real football GM and coach after last season.
DC Tom Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Did anybody hear ANYTHING? I saw a glum face and static. Maybe that's the theme of the Bills 2009 season: Glum face and static. sigh Rumor is that they fired the sound editor ten minutes before the press conference.
Rico Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 what does this mean? http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/ are we the 3rd team to can an OC before the season starts? EDIT: apparently, yes: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/rumor-mill/ Congrats to the GREAT Mike Florio on yet another scoop!
Mike in Syracuse Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 cost cutting move by Ralph . Can't keep those costs low enough. As I've said many times, DJ gone by game 10 , april is interim coach , and we get Gruden for next year. Start all over again. then repeat every 3 years until real ownership takes over... THE COACHES ARE UNDER CONTRACT. IF RALPH FIRES THEM HE STILL HAS TO PAY THEM!!! Sorry about the caps but damn, some of you people are thick. Firing a coach isn't a cost cutting move. Schonert is going to get paid to sit home and watch games this season. This saves Ralph NOTHING!
first_and_ten Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 this is bullsh*t. I can't hear a word JUST STATIC. It hasn't started yet
thewildrabbit Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I posted his stats / bio on an earlier page in the thread. Very similar to AVP's numbers, which is what he was trying to point out. If you listened to Chris Collingsworth talk about Schonert and his big ego in everything he does, football, the golf course. I came away with the impression that Schonert does things his way and that's it. He had this huge ego and wasn't interested in teaching his players, more of making them do what he wanted. That is just my impression and have no actual proof. However I did watch the way JP finished the 06 season, very strongly, and was supposed to impress for the 07 season. Instead he fell on his face completely and horribly, his QB coach was Turk Schonert. So then fairchild leaves at the end of 07 and he is replaced with Schonert. Trent Edwards this pre season seems to be regressing the same way that JP did in 07, maybe I'm wrong But let's see if Edwards improves under AVP. I'm hoping this OC will actually try and run the ball more to set up the passing game.
Mike in Syracuse Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 It hasn't started yet Wrongo, it's over.
Ramius Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Rumor is that they fired the sound editor ten minutes before the press conference. You'd think the audio and video feeds would be working to perfection since its friday.
TJdaSportsGuy Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 It's only the preseason!!! Once the regular season starts, the IT guy will figure it out and can game plan for the pressers. LOL, I know, I know. You'd just like to see SOME sort of technical progress on the audio for the pressers in the preseason.
