No we should hold Obama to the exact same standard Bush was held to = he was constantly criticized for staying loyal to people who needed to be removed. Examples: Gonzalez, Rumsfeld. Democrats and many independents, and certainly the media, bitched and whined until they finally got their way and got rid of clearly incompetent, or past their prime, employees.

What's scary is that an entertainer/political commentator like Glen Beck is doing a MUCH better job at reporting than CBS, NBC and ABC put together.

The only surprise here is that AP and MSNBC are reporting anything on this. Obama had to dump him, though I think it's funny that Jones is yelling about things being made up and a smear campaign. I don't know that anyone has ever had more video footage of a presidential pal making stupid comments. It's right up there with Shelia Jackson Lee suggesting that maybe the video of her talking on her cellphone while being asked a question at a town hall meeting "was doctored."

 

It was important for Obama to get rid of him. He can't have the focus be on Jones when he gives his big national school speech on Tuesday. Of course, that speech would carry more weight if all schools were actually in session on Tuesday, but let's just stick to one bungled embarrassment at a time, shall we?
