brianthomas Posted September 3, 2009 Author Posted September 3, 2009 as far as this site goes that i started the thread off: http://www.myp2pforum.eu/nfl-cfl-afl/42668...-streaming.html i was suspicious at first too, obviously no one wants to install something thats a virus to your pc. but during the cbs blackouts last year i was desperate enough to try it, and long and behold, this website rocks. Yes it requires you install a program called sopcast, or tvants or streamtorrent. But in the world of the internet and media, you normally have to install something. As a result, im watching the bills game on that ice link thats provided and its perfect quality, although for all those that cant watch the game right now, youre not missing anything, lol I took a screenshot of my video just so u could see http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/1834/bills.jpg

Same old Story Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 You guys mind walking me through exactly what I have to do? If not, no worries, it sounds ugly.
The Dean Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 you have to download some stuff. its a process. follow the instructions on the main page. it requires intelligence. that might be your problem, dean. That could be the issue. It requires Stream Torrent, as dog mentioned. Here's the bit: http://www.myp2pforum.eu/streamtorrent/421...eamtorrent.html If I needed it for a regular season game, I might install it, but see no reason to put another piece of crappy software on my machine for this game.

This Stream Torrent stuff is new, though. During the season I doubt you will need this software, as there are typically a few streams, and they usually don't involve any special software. But if it turns out this is the best way to get the game (when I can't get to the bar) then I will consider installing it.
TheLynchTrain Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 How do you do this, help me please haha that sounds wayyy to complicated for your redneck ass. stick to complaining how jacksonville is better than buffalo buddy

I assume these streams are available during the regular season as well? I'd rather watch on my computer than go down the street to a bar. My only question is how dependable they are. Anyway, thanks again.

I downloaded VLC Media Player but every time I put the link in and try to open it, it says that it can't open the link. Maybe I am using the wrong player? No, the ip he gave is wrong. 127.0.0.1 is localhost or in other words your local computer.

I'd rather watch on my computer than go down the street to a bar. My only question is how dependable they are. Anyway, thanks again. The links are spotty, at best, IMO. It helps if you have a very fast Internet connection, but you are still at the mercy of the streamer. During the season there are usually several streams, some better than others. Few, if any, compare to watching the game on TV. The only time I watch on the computer, during the season, is if I am too sick to go out (the bar where I watch the game is right next to my condo complex). Now, there are legit options to watch online (at a price, of course) and I imagine the quality of those is better than the streams I watch.
