The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Thursday, Sept. 3, that they have dismissed offensive coordinator Jeff Jagodzinski. The team has promoted quarterbacks coach Greg Olson to offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach.

Problem for the Bills is wo would they promote? Certainly would not go to AVP. Jauron has control and obviously elected to do nothing over the course of the off-season when a change would have been most logical.

I read that earlier and found it astonishing. I wonder what Raheem Morris is going to say about this later.

Jagodzinski has had a very interesting year.

One has to believe these are extreme circumstances, i.e. OC caught using his cell phone to film the lineman in the shower. If The Bills pulled a stunt like this between now and 9/14, the spaghetti will have officially hit the fan.

Answer: teams whose brand-new, first-time head coaches didn't do a very good job in filling one of the most critical jobs on their staffs? Gailey was a holdover in KC, but Raheem Morris made the call on bringing in Jags.

"This is some real bs. How in the h*** do you get the fans amped up about the possibilities of his Offensive scheme (in which the run was starting to look real good) and then fire him. This is my team and I love the Bucs to death, but the Glazers as a whole need to sell and get the h*** out of dodge. They are killing our franchise and it's fan base!"

Hauntingly familiar. The grass looks pretty brown on our neighbors lawn.. :censored:

Its comforting to know that other fan bases are as "special" as ours.

Even before Jeff Jagodzinski was named the Bucs' offensive coordinator, multiple sources, including former Boston College players, told the Times he had limited experience calling plays.

In fact, those duties normally fell to Steve Logan, the former East Carolina coach who was hired as the Bucs' running backs coach.

On Thursday, the Bucs dismissed Jagodzinski, who declined an opportunity to remain with the staff as quarterbacks coach.

Sometime during training camp, it became increasingly apparent to Bucs officials and players, that Jagodzinski was not equipped to install and direct an NFL offense. His expertise centered mostly around the zone blocking scheme, which he helped operate for the Atlanta Falcons.

But Jagodzinski lacked sophistication regarding protections and different aspects of an NFL passing game.

Hmm. Sounds like he might fit right in. Get 'er done?

Lies. All damn lies.

Everybody knows that coaching in the NFL is overrated. It's the players fault for not executing the plays properly.

Hopefully this move benefits us in week 2.

Byron "immobile" Leftwich benefits the Bills in week 2. The guy is a statue with the slowest wind-up release in history.

He's the black Bledsoe.... :censored:

I give Morris credit for dumping him now rather than giving him the season to screw up. He did pick a very good DC in Jim Bates.

I fail to see how this benefits the Bills. Lets say on a scale of 1(brady) - 10(bledsoe), leftwich magnifies any given pass rush by 8 times. Running the math i get...

Bills pass rush x Leftwich factor = benefit.

Therefore,

0 x 8 = 0

I see no benefit from playing leftwich.
