gizmo6824
Just announced on NBC's Sunday Night Football. Patriots inside linebacker Tedy Bruschi has decided to retire from football. He'll make the announcement Monday at 10:45AM ET (Bruschi -- barely sleeps in on retirement day). A 13-year career Patriot, Bruschi captained three Super Bowl winners, registered five 100+ tackle seasons, and was a Pro Bowler in 2004. The former college defensive end played inside linebacker, outside, and end in pass-rush situations throughout his career. His October return from an offseason stroke earned him Comeback Player of the Year honors in 2005. Bruschi will likely fall short of the Hall of Fame, but is a shoe-in for the Patriots' Ring of Honor and may have his No. 54 retired. Source: NFL.com This was just up on rotoworld, thank god we dont have to deal with him anymore. But, he is a great player in his own right. Wish him luck in his life after football. jimmy griffin
I wish the Bills would offer this guy a contract. And then have him split time with POZ. What a fearless player he is/was. And then he could tell us how the hell the Pats draw up defensive game plans. Adn it would be a great pain to Belacheat. Sign him!

PromoTheRobot
Oh yeah. A player that has been known as the heart and soul of the Patriots is just haning around waiting for another AFC team, much less the Bills, to offer him a veteran minimum contract so he can rat out his old team. It's so obvious. PTR

tennesseeboy
are they going to pre-empt all TV programming to show the announcement? Probably have to change the hall of fame waiting rule for him now. Any truth to the rumor that all teams will wear a black armband in mourning this season? Lori
Probably have to change the hall of fame waiting rule for him now. Any truth to the rumor that all teams will wear a black armband in mourning this season? Some funny stuff on Nick Mendola's Facebook last night. One person asked which would come first, the Hall of Fame induction or immediate sainthood? And I missed your comment the first time through, bills44, but at least one Boston network affiliate (WBZ - CBS) is showing the press conference live. From Mike Reiss: There are 12 television cameras in the back of the room. Driving into the stadium, television trucks from local stations were parked outside, prepared to go live with the press conference. A handful of newspaper photographers are lined up along the left side of the room to shoot Bruschi's entrance.
