rockpile Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 My favorite quote: ""The only thing this accomplishes is making PETA look like whack jobs," commented SU student Nick McGraw.
Johnny Coli Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 PETA just doesn't get it. It's one thing to protest squirting new cosmetics into rabbits' eyes, but quite another to attack people doing usefull research. Animal models are a necessary part of the scientific process in finding cures and exploring the roots of disease. There are very strict guidelines as to how these animals are treated. Useless, Frankenstein-like science is a rarity.
respk Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 People for Eating Tasty Animals just never seems to get it. There probably was one or less persons who actually understand what People for Eating Tasty Animals was protesting about. Everybody else who saw it will remember that an old lady was dressed up as a tampon and make no connection to testing on animals. They are so full of themselves they have no idea how to get their message across, thankfully in reality.
