dave mcbride Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Just to play devil's advocate, the best player on the Bills BY FAR is TO, and he hasn't played since the first series of the HOF game. I assume he's taking it easy and revving it up for the season (as opposed to really being injured), so let's wait until there's a true #1 receiver out there before passing judgment. I mean, Parrish was targeted a couple of times early on - presumably for trade purposes - and you can bet the Steelers know he's on the block and coached appropriately. It sounds like I'm making excuses -and I guess I am - but I saw some games last year where Edwards looked terrific, and I'm not prepared to sign his death warrant because of a series of meaningless games in which he was missing his best player (again, by far).
Frez Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 This team is not very good. Most of us knew this coming into this game.
Saudi Arabia Rob Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 This honestly looks like a team in mid season form playing another team which just started training camp. I wonder if it's because the Steelers are game planning and we're not.
CodeMonkey Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Well its only 17 points. I'm sure DJ will get it all straightened out at halftime.
nobody Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Edward better play in the second half! the 1st string O need the reps... so does the D.... Plus have them play against the Pitt 3rd stringers so the O can get a little confidence.
vincec Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 usually the starters play into the 3rd quarter in the second to last preseason game Trent and the starters should play the entire game with the way they are playing right now Why bother. It's pretty clear what they can do. Let's see the other guys...
Da Big Man Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Wow a year ago there would be a ton of " it's preseason" going on . I guess no love this year. Simon is going to throw all of us off. None of us know what we are talking about. 17-0 at the half and we got it all wrong .
sven233 Posted August 30, 2009 Author Posted August 30, 2009 I really want to see Fitz with the starters. Trent is not getting it done..... I just would be interested to see if it is really the offense or if it is just Trent. I'm really starting to think that the offensive problems are Trent's.....not the rest of the team.
thewildrabbit Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 It could be worse,we could be Raider fans...
LABills08 Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Unless Edwards doesn't have any time to throw, there is no reason he should be failing this badly.

We can't run the ball or stop the run. How's TO going to help?
crazyDingo Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Could we be heading for an Epic Collapse this season? I mean like 2 or 3 wins? I'm I imagining how bad this looks?
Art in PNS Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 usually the starters play into the 3rd quarter in the second to last preseason game Trent and the starters should play the entire game with the way they are playing right now They better come out early at alftime and take it to the marching band to put 6 on the board.
Fan in Chicago Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I can sense it already: This is our year. To go 0-16 ?
GOBILLS78 Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 It could be worse,we could be Raider fans... I believe their starters have scored touchdowns.
