Chris in Syracuse Posted September 9, 2009 Author Posted September 9, 2009 good call Chris in 'Cuse.. how do you feel about Paulus? At first I was against the move but now I can see the potential. He may end up getting some NFL draft consideration. He is still raw but I can't think of any other collegiate QB with more Raw talent. (I must admit I'm a little bias) Chris in Syracuse
Chris in Syracuse Posted September 9, 2009 Author Posted September 9, 2009 Well done, got any tinglies about how Monday Night is gonna turn out? If the db's play ten yards off the ball while our d-line doesn't put any pressure on Brady, I sadly see us losing by at least 3 touchdowns. I hope I am wrong and Maybin and Schobel can get pressure and McLovin can cover Moss with Brady being rusty but sadly I don't see it happening. Chris in Syracuse
Chris in Syracuse Posted September 9, 2009 Author Posted September 9, 2009 Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah...sorry about that. Not sure why I'm apologizing though, I'm the giant horse's ass here...for once! Oh well, props to Chris in Syracuse, Go Bills! No problem rotund kitty all is forgiven! Chris in Syracuse
Chris in Syracuse Posted September 9, 2009 Author Posted September 9, 2009 Just wondering, do you think that there will be anymore suprises from the Bills before their first game of the season? No more surprises before the opening. You heard it here first. Chris in Syracuse
Billsguy Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 walker is the starting LT game 1. BEll is injured right now. he is a enigma, a riddle, a mystery -- as Winston Churchill once said about Russia. Bell aint starting anything. He is the backup. THey just gave money to the new center from CArolina and Butler to play RT. Eventually, maybe midseason, WALker goes back to the RT and Wood shift to C and Butler shifts to RG and Bell starts at LT. But that is a long way away. There will be injuries and drama before that happens anyway. Walker is a bargain right now. He has played well -- and in games, he pass and run blocks veryh well. HE is good player who shows up on Sunday. GOOD CALL! Who are you picking week one? I need some advice that I can bet against
Billsguy Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 I just can't see a $25M player sitting on the bench. If Bell beats him out does he switch over to RT?Does Butler go back to guard? Does Levitre go to the bench? It doesn't make much sense. I am sorry to say it cause I genuinely like the big guy but if Bell beats him out, he will not be on the opening day roster. Thoughts? I watched Walker play in Oakland every week and I said it on this board that it was a huge mistake for the Bills to sign him. Everybody seemed pumped up at the time. It turned out the way I expected. I also am impressed by the Bills' ability to pay huge bucks for players and get nothing in return! NOTHING! Free agents are signed for huge dollars and then they are cut with nothing coming back to the team. Top quality players are allowed to leave as free agents with nothing returned to the team. I see a pattern of mismanagement here. This is freakin' ridiculous. What the hell are the front office people doing besides destroying the franchise? It is no coincidence the Bills haven't made the playoffs in 9 years. Thank you Ralph Wilson for being so incompetent.

Oh, and Maybin sacks Brady 9 times and Brady quits football to go bang a super model. Chris In Syracuse
jimmy griffin Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Ha, thanks buddy. For 12 years now -- I have been wrong with this team. I surpised they didnt cut Nic Harris -- that would be the norm for them. GOOD CALL! Who are you picking week one? I need some advice that I can bet against
Koufax Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 I know a lot of people are jumping off bridges, but I think the release of Walker makes us a better football team, and I think it is what Bellichick would have done if in the same situation on Tuesday (although he would have been smart enough to avoid getting in that position in the first place). I think this would have happened sooner if Bell had been healthy. I think Bell and Butler are both better than Walker, and while I kept my fingers crossed since I expected him to start, he was a mistake like Dockery when signed, and today we are past that mistake. I think our line for Monday is the best line we have had in place in a while, and while it will make some mistakes as the three newbies get some playing time, this move increases our (slim) chances at getting to the playoffs, increases our chances of going 8-8 or better, and is a positive step in this team's goal to win a Super Bowl. And remember, whether we were to go 12-4 or 4-12, this New England game was very likely to be on the loss side of things, and while I hope we shock the NFL with an upset, it is week 2 that is our first game that we really need to / should win.
