zazie Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Did he manhandle their Oline like he did the Bills, completely blow them yards off the ball? Just wondering if anyone saw it would be interested if he can do that to anyone or if the Bills are really so weak.
colin Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 green bay has been destroying teams on D all preseason. i think their new DC is very very good and trying to make a name for himself, and they've got some talent. they should be good but not this good in the regular season IMO.

Dom Capers really doesn't need to make a name for himself, does he?

Fewell733 Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Raji's performance against us has been overhyped in the extreme. Not saying he wasn't very impressive as a rookie but watch his highlights of the game on nfl.com - he gets praised by the broadcasters as unstoppable even on a play where he gets taken to the ground by Eric Wood.
MrLocke Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Dom Capers really doesn't need to make a name for himself, does he? Dom Capers = Ultimate example of why being a good coordinator doesn't make them a good coach.
John from Riverside Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 I think it will be interesting what happens with the NFL's live rounds start firing. Capers is running his defense like it is regular season.....maybe this is to biuld confidence in the team or whatever.....but he is game planning while all the other teams are going vanilla. I love Raji......I am not sure if it was not a good idea to trade up for him to be honest. But as soon as he got blocking on him where he was engaged by Wood then chipped by Hangman....he was completely nutralized. This is what he can expect come regular season. The thing is....he is a rookie....and he is going to learn to beat that and become a excellent player.
silvermike Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Prediction: In December, Dick Jauron is fired. Dom Capers is hired in January. In March, he releases Kelsay, Williams, and Stroud because "we're switching to a 3-4," and brings in scrubs from his old teams. In August, Schobel is released after his switch to LB is unsuccessful. In the fall, the Bills go 4-12. "The new defense takes some time to get rolling". In 2011, the Bills go 8-8. "Improvement means it's worth keeping. Beside, the 3-4 hits its stride in year 3, we're ahead of schedule." In 2012, we're 6-10. Capers is fired, and the Bills hire a coach who promises to bring back the pass rush and run a 4-3, purging the old roster's 3-4 specialists and signing retreads from his old teams. Repeat every 3 years.

That's why they call him Eric "Good" Wood. BJ might be great, but everyone goes down when facing Eric "Good" Wood.
