linksfiend Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 I was having a discussion at lunch today about not having home night games recently. I brought up that I remember Ralph Wilson fighting against having home night games a few years ago because he maintains it's harder to sell tickets. However, no one at the table believed me. Does anyone else remember this? Can anyone else offer some proof of this?
R. Rich Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 The last night game I remember going to was the opener against the Titans in 2000.
ofiba Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 The last night game I remember going to was the opener against the Titans in 2000. 112138[/snapback] If you remember, that game was the day before labor day, making it not a problem for people to get back to work on tuesday.
PromoTheRobot Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 Since the Bills draw so many out-of-towners, late night games before a workday don't sell. Frankly I don't think it's such a big deal. Most players and coaches like 1pm Sunday games, and they like a consistant schedule. PTR
taterhill Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 Sunday Night games=Good, Monday Night Games=Bad
CajunBillsBacker Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 Are there any other fans in the NFL who complain about primetime home games?
Simon Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 I've heard the same thing links, and personally I hate it. Home games in primetime generally lead to W's and when the rest of the league is getting them while we're not, it puts the Bills at a disadvantage in the W/L column. And that sucks.... Cya
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 In his weekly Q&A Tom Donahoe again denied that there has been any request from the Bills to the league to have no home night games. He said Ralph has never said anything about it to him, and he hopes to get one next year.
