DaGimp Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Closing in on a fine career with the Bills. Getting hurt now at the end. If by fine you mean suck ass then yes I love this job...
Buffaloed in Pa Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 This is how the young guns ,get to show their shitz . Maybin , Ellis or Bryan will get their shot now. I hope they show something.
seq004 Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 He's out with "I don't feel like playing the rest of the preseason" elbow. He will be joining TO with the "I don't feel like playing the rest of preseason because Mr big toe hurts."
Jerry Jabber Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 I'm sure Ellis, Bryan will impress, but as we've seen in years past, Jauron & company doesn't start the better player. Fred Jackson was clearly better than A-Train in pre-season, but didn't get his chance until A-Train was injured. Same thing with Jabari Greer, he didn't see any playing time until there was an injury. IMO, Schobel is done, he's seen his better days and now is starting to pile up on injuries. There's no way anyone can justify his $8.7M a year contract. Kelsay should be a 3rd stringer or practice squad, not a starting DE.
bdelma Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 If by fine you mean suck ass then yes I love this job... He has a decent career with the Bills, look at his stats. Presently he closing out his time here.
todd Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 This is why this offseason was a failure for the defense. The Bills front office did nothing to improve the pass rush. Great, they got a rookie. Rookies rarely make a significant impact. They needed to get a few good FA DEs to fix themselves up good, but they did nothing. They didn't account for Schoebel's age or Kelsay / Denney's mediocrity. And need I mention our OLB situation? It is going to be a long season, fellas.
jwws9999 Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 He has a decent career with the Bills, look at his stats. Presently he closing out his time here. if you count never going to the playoffs and only getting sacks at garbage time, yeah, he's been great. for once i agree with wilson saving some money, do what new england does and trade him
cåblelady Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 “Aaron has an elbow and it may keep him out for a little while here,” said Jauron. see thats the problem, I have 2 elbows Are we the only ones that read that quote?
generaLee83 Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 This is a huge bummer, his .5 sacks every three or four games will be missed.
generaLee83 Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Are we the only ones that read that quote? Reminds me of a great Brian Regan bit in which he talks about how great sports doctors are and how they diagnose an injury by just naming the body part.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 From today's Bills' Roundup, CB reports that Copeland Bryan took second team snaps at right defensive end behind Ryan Denney. At least they're giving him looks on that side. Also Ellis took some snaps at left defensive end, behind Kelsay and Maybin.
Solomon Grundy Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Does this revelation help validate the Everette Brown vs Jairus Byrd debate?

spartacus Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 He's out with "I don't feel like playing the rest of the preseason" elbow. sounds to me like there may be something to the talk of the Bills downsizing Schobel's huge contract. a pre-season injury now prevents the Bills from cutting him outright without an injury settlement.
