millbank Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 Could fill spoons full of diamonds, Could fill spoons full of gold. Just a little spoon of your precious love Will satisfy my soul. Men lies about it. Some of them cries about it. Some of them dies about it. Everything's a-fightin' about the spoonfull. That spoon, that spoon, that spoonfull. That spoon, that spoon, that spoonfull. That spoon, that spoon, that spoonfull. That spoon, that spoon, that spoonfull. Could fill spoons full of coffee, Could fill spoons full of tea. Just a little spoon of your precious love; Is that enough for me? Men lies about it. Some of them cries about it. Some of them dies about it. Everything's a-fightin' about the spoonfull. That spoon, that spoon, that spoonfull. That spoon, that spoon, that spoonfull. That spoon, that spoon, that spoonfull. That spoon, that spoon, that spoonfull. Could fill spoons full of water, Save them from the desert sands. But a little spoon of your forty-five Saved you from another man. Men lies. Some of them cries about it. Some of them dies. Everything's a-fightin' about it. Everything's a-cryin' about it. Everything's a-diein' about it. Everything's a-cryin' about it. Everything's a-liein' about it. Little old, little old spoonfull. Die'n about it Cryin about it That spoon, that spoon Little old, little old spoonfull That spoon, that spoon, that spoonfull. That spoon, that spoon, that spoonfull. Everything's a-diein' about it.
rockpile Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 My favorite Cream album was Disraeli Gears. Extra trivia points to the 1st person who can remember what SWLABR means, without Googling. Mother's Lament author unknown Are we rolling? A one, a two, a three, a four... A mother was washing her baby one night; The youngest of ten and a delicate mite. The mother was poor and the baby was thin; 'Twas naught but a skeleton covered with skin. The mother turned 'round for a soap off the rack. She was only a moment but when she turned back Her baby had gone, and in anguish she cried, "Oh, where has my baby gone?" The angels replied: Oh, your baby has gone down the plug hole. Oh, your baby has gone down the plug. The poor little thing was so skinny and thin, He should have been washed in a jug, in a jug. Your baby is perfectly happy; He won't need a bath anymore. He's a-muckin' about with the angels above, Not lost but gone before. Do you want to do it again?
AKC Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 I had Ginger (Peter) in a seminar I gave maybe a dozen years ago and he couldn't even carry on a conversation at that time without reading lips. I'd think it could be somewhat of a challenge for him to do a live gig today with any precision.
nodnarb Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 I can hear it now: Strange Brew (Dance Re-mix)
Surfmeister Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 That spoon, that spoon, that spoonfull. Willie Dixon wrote that one I think. For a pweriod of time Willie played bass for Muddy Waters. I love that Willie Dixon song "The Same Thing" as peformed by Muddy Waters as well. That is some fine pool shooting music.

I think I remember it means ... She Walked Like A Bearded Raincoat Was that close ??? I still like Eric's tone and attack on the Blues Breakers LP. He really did a nice job on Freddie King's HIDEAWAY.
Fashionformillenium Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 Clapton Is God 111909 Really? Are they all getting back together? Got any more details? Thanks. They definitely have great music
Buftex Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 Clapton Is God 111909 Clapton stopped being god the minute he hooked up with Phil Collins...
Peter Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 Born under a bad sign. "If I did not have bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all." Somewhat of a motto for our dear city.
The Poojer Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 I always knew they would "rise" to the occassion
Greybeard Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 In Ginger's case all he has to do is get totally stoned and he will have, in effect, returned to the exact state he was in 40 years ago. Of course, for all I know he never left it.
Guest Guest Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 I prefer Derek and the Dominos (The Layla Sessions is a masterpiece) but Cream is a pretty good consolation price.
