Good point on the work stoppage. The strike will foreclose much and make front offices think hard about salaries.

At this point, IMO, Wilson has to pay for a big name. It has been 10 years since this club has made the playoffs. 1999. Thus, he has to sell more tickets and create a buzz. There are GREAT coaches out there now -- ive never seen so many superbowl (and winnings guys) available in one season. These coaches are not just expensive -- but they are winners. Gruden, Shanahan, Cowher, Holmgren and Dungy are all SB winners. All still innovative and reliable. All want to coach again IMO -- with maybe the exception of Dungy.

DJ is a teacher. The OF coordinator is a joke. The talent evaulators are jokes. They need someone who can think with Bill Belacheat. Every week, DJ gets outclasses and outsmarted by innovators. He coaches scared and timid. The team has taken on this personality. Weak. A SB coach will instill confidence -- ala PArcells in Maimi now.

You must be joking right? Why would Ralph hire one of those high profile expensive ex-coaches, when he would not even eat DJ's last year on his extremely reasonable salary when everyone in the football universe thought DJ should have been fired? Also, there is already talk of play stoppages with lock outs for the 2011 season, and I cannot imagine Wilson being lockied into any huge coaches salaries during prolonged weeks of no games being played.
