davefan66 Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Well, it is only preseason. Clearly, Miami and the PAts are the cream of the AFC east. This Bills team could win 8 games. DJ is preparing this crop of kids for one of these guys: CowHER, Shannahan, Holmgren, dungy or gruden. SO, help is on the way. Dom Capers is a very savvy DE coach. His old Steeler blitz packages are legend. Ask Jim Kelly. So, credit him for having some good packages against our first team guys. And credit the Packer athletes for getting after guys -- this is a very good defensive front. As far as the Bills O line go -- it is patchwork yet again. Reminds me of when they had Jerry Crafts out there -- pure confussion. The line is a year away, yet again. No way they dominate any DE this season with 200-300 yard ground games. At $9 mil, one would expect that the O Coach would draw plays up for Evans. Why is he not the focus of the club? He ought to be running every pattern, running reverses and catching screens. Horrible use of a player that costs ALOT. Does anyone know how you attack a 3-4 defense? Well said, except no way we hire any of those guys if DJ is fired, no way.
Kelly the Dog Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 I'm beginning to think Fitzpatrick might be the better fit for this team than Edwards. Stop thinking.
crazyDingo Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Well said, except no way we hire any of those guys if DJ is fired, no way. Next Head Coach.... Alex Van Pelt, 5 years, $1 million

Big Turk Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 why is it that every other team is able to open SOME kind of holes for their RBs but our RBs look like they are running into a massive pile of bodies on every play?
Mr. WEO Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Get bent. (Kidding aside, if Raji and the 3-4 can help them stop the run a little better, Packers have a good shot at the division this year.) Agree. Rogers looks solid.
stevewin Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 They're not booing - they're yelling "Stuuuuuuuuuuuuu-parrrrrr!!!!!"
Big Turk Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Stupar is making it almost impossible for the Bills to cut this guy...
nobody Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 The Bills are probably already after him to play at the end of this year. I hear they are looking for a slow, white no name tight end. Now, now; Stupar is the only Bill playing today.
davefan66 Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Murph just said "Fitzpatrick pulled out early" poor guy....
bladiebla Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 I wonder how they are going to justify cutting Stupar...
CaliforniaCheez Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 First points against the Packers this season.
Huuuge Bills Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 I seriously want to see what Stupar can do with the first team.

Kelly the Dog Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 I don't see how they keep Derek Shoumanfine and Derek Fineshouman, and not keep Stupar, but you know there is a good chance they will.
Brand J Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 I seriously want to see what Stupar can do with the first team. No, we will be status quo - Schouman will remain the starting TE and Ellison will remain the starting OLB
