Buffaloed in Pa Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Is this a turf toe problem? Big toe little toe, what the hell toe is it . Anyway I`d sit him out the rest of pre-season to let this heal up real good. He won`t forget how to play. I think Trent will get enough time with him the week before the opener.
Captain Caveman Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Was on he on the sidelines last week? Is he traveling with the team this week? Anybody know?

todd Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 This is extremely serious. It could take years for this much swelling to go down. After looking at that, it could take years for me to ever swell again.
John Adams Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Turf toe can be very serious and linger a while. It's a sprain of the big toe--which generates most of the force on acceleration. Often forces players in and out all season because it feels better and then recurs. Think of it like a hamstring strain .

This injury ended many a career. Jack Lambert comes to mind .
