Just read an article on nfl.com and they talk about the top 10 home field advantages. No mention of us. I have to believe we crack the top 10 if not sit at the top.

That top 10 is results based isn't it? Sadly home field advantage kinda looses it's meaning given the results lately at home.

NFL network did an hour show on this; not sure if it's the same thing.

We are 8-1 in modern day home playoff games. Pittsburgh - without looking it up - couldn't have been much above .500 in the Cowher era.

So yah it's kind of a joke.

Undefeated at Gillette in the play offs

52-12 at home since it opened regular season and play offs

The Cardinals are undefeated in the U of Phoenix Stadium in the playoffs too.

I would think that the best way to evaluate home field advantage is to look at the difference between a teams home and away record. What kind of edge does playing at home produce?

That has more to do with the built in cameras & microphones than the crowd though.

Geez that's interesting as all hell, Pisswater! That's almost as good as the Bills who - over a similar 7-season period - went 53-11 at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

(Hint - get back to us when that schithole in Fagsboro is older than 7 years.)

Oh, and the Bills are also undefeated in playoff games at RWS since it opened in 1973.

Don't they have a Boys Club in Provincetown for you and your queer friends?

I appreciate your intent, but didn't the Bills lose to Jacksonville in the playoffs at home in 1996?

A stadium hardly has an advantage when

  • a large portion of seats is sold to opposing fans
  • many fans spending a good portion of time getting beer or getting rid of it not making noise when your own defense is on field
  • fans do the wave when on your offense is on the field

This is not your father's Bills fandom

Oops. You're right.

Eh, so what? LukeWarmPisswater's just another adolescent queer Cheatriettes* troll, who can't think of anything else to do but hang out here when it's raining out at Herring Cove.

Correct. NE is 44-16 on the road in that same time span. Not even close to the best homefield.

Exactly, NE has a great home record because lets face it they have been one of the bestr teams in the league for the last 9-10 years. Playing NE is intimidating, going into Foxboro eh, their fans never seem to get loud. At least on tv.
