Lori
Nick Mendola: http://www.wgr550.com/The-Gift-of-Life/5045390 (WGR 550) -- You have another chance to give children a better, healthier life during the 2009 Hunter's Hope Radiothon on WGR Sports Radio 550. Please take the time to donate now. WGR is shifting its programming Thursday and Friday to benefit Universal Newborn Screening. In addition to our normal sports talk, we'll be welcoming in celebrities from all walks of life to discuss not the benefits of testing all new babies for diseases and disorders. Hunter's Hope was established in 1997 by Jim and Jill Kelly after their infant son Hunter was diagnosed with Krabbe Leukodystrophy, an inherited -- and fatal -- nervous system disease that claimed Hunter's life at the tender age of eight. Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Tim McGraw and Andre Reed are among the celebrities confirmed to join WGR. Howard Simon and Jeremy White have their normal 6 to 10 a.m. spot, while Dennis Williams returns to man the 10 a.m. to Noon slot. After Jim Rome handles his Noon to 3 p.m. spot, Mike Schopp and The Bulldog return to handle the 3 to 7 p.m. show. (Hit his link for clickable donation info. Thanks.) ans4e64
They did a great job. Both the morning and afternoon guys. I was particularly impressed with Howard. Mike can always find the right words to say for any situation, but Howard took his radio game to another level yesterday morning. Great show guys, keep it up. They've really gotten behind this, and for the reason I expressed last year, I thank them for that. (And OK, I'm now getting the live feed.) Just sent my donation online. Easy to do, folks. BillsWatch
Really? Just tuned in: http://player.streamtheworld.com/_players/.../player/?id=WGR Hmm. Streaming, but not live -- hearing Howard and Jeremy, who had the morning shift. No idea about the other site. When WGR stopped streaming from their site I stopped being a very casual listener. There was a lot of controversy at time regarding streaming radio. No idea someone else picked up the slack for them.
