Glass To The Arson Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Do they make GPS systems that run on batteries? My car lighter is broken and my trip to Canton Ohio last week. I used map quest (i love you ) most of the way there but I think a GPS would be so much easier. Any ideas?
Just Jack Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 My Garmin Streetpilot has a built in battery, not replaceable, and you still need a way to charge it, either cigarette lighter, or USB port.
Jim in Anchorage Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 My Grampa told me they used to sell street maps at gas stations...

stuckincincy Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 What's a map? What you will have when the Red Chinese shoot down the GPS satellites?
KD in CA Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Personally, I'd rather read a map. Always found them fascinating, even as a kid.
