CincyBills14 Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Manalac can play. He was a walk-on at UC and ended up being a key component of the Big East Championship team by leading the team in tackles. I doubt he'll ever be a starer in the NFL, but could contribute on Special Teams.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I doubt he'll ever be a starer in the NFL, but could contribute on Special Teams. That could be said about a majority of our linebackers.
BuffaloBill Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 That could be said about a majority of our linebackers. Sad but true
Dr. Fong Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Does this front office have something against big people?
Just Jack Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Does this front office have something against big people? They pay by the pound, so smaller is cheaper.
Steely Dan Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 LB Ryan Manalac. The 6'0 Ohio native was a 2 year starter at LB for the Cincinnati Bearcats. Per text message. The Ryan Manalac!! AWESOME!! Manalac can play. He was a walk-on at UC and ended up being a key component of the Big East Championship team by leading the team in tackles. I doubt he'll ever be a starer in the NFL, but could contribute on Special Teams. The dude is merely there to fill in until the regular guys are back. JMO
Dr. Fong Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 They pay by the pound, so smaller is cheaper. I guess they're looking to cut corners at the training table. Also by having weaker players they don't have to buy as many weights.
