Steely Dan
R.I.P. No one person helped shaped the sound of Rock as we know it. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090813/ap_en_...obit_les_paul_7 That sucks! He lived to 94. He had a full life. In 1952, Gibson Guitars began production on the Les Paul guitar. Pete Townsend of The Who, Steve Howe of Yes, jazz great Al DiMeola and Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page all made the Gibson Les Paul their trademark six-string. Over the years, the Les Paul series has become one of the most widely used guitars in the music industry. In 2005, Christie's auction house sold a 1955 Gibson Les Paul for $45,600. 'Nuff said. WVUFootball29
Talk about a true innovator that changed the entire world of music and recording. Maybe if he touched little boys and had some plastic surgeries he'd be all over the news for months.

bbb
Sometimes, I'll listen to Joey Reynolds on KB overnight out of NYC, and Les Paul was on quite a bit still even recently. He still sounded good, so he definitely had a long full life.

Well, Les and Mary are no George and Gracie when it comes to comedy, but I don't recall George Burns tearing up the axe like that, either. Nice one, Cincy!
