R.I.P.

No one person helped shaped the sound of Rock as we know it.

That sucks! :blink: He lived to 94. He had a full life.

In 1952, Gibson Guitars began production on the Les Paul guitar.

Pete Townsend of The Who, Steve Howe of Yes, jazz great Al DiMeola and Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page all made the Gibson Les Paul their trademark six-string.

Over the years, the Les Paul series has become one of the most widely used guitars in the music industry. In 2005, Christie's auction house sold a 1955 Gibson Les Paul for $45,600.

'Nuff said.

RIP :blink:

Talk about a true innovator that changed the entire world of music and recording. Maybe if he touched little boys and had some plastic surgeries he'd be all over the news for months.

I know. :beer:

My wife sent me an email to tell me. She said there's now one less Paul. :huh:

:lol::beer:

Les Paul and wife Mary Ford's B&W shows were the "bee's knees" years ago. :censored:

Here's a You Tube flick. Click on some others if you care to...

Well, Les and Mary are no George and Gracie when it comes to comedy, but I don't recall George Burns tearing up the axe like that, either.

Nice one, Cincy!
