Pine Barrens Mafia Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Ask Tom, I'm sure he'll give you the old "turn your head and cough" test.
Wacka Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Most ulcers are caused by H.Pylori. The first course of treatment is antibiotics and antacids. The guy that found this out won a Medicine Nobel Prize in 2005. He had figured it out, but people wouldn't believe him. He grew a bunch of the bacteria and drank it. Got severe gastritis.
Bad Lieutenant Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 for months have had a bloated feeling like I ate a bale of hay. Poor appetite. Get the craps. No other symptoms. Any thoughts before I spend $ on tests?[self employed, no insurance] Nope, but I hear you can get great medical advice on the Milwaukee Brewers message board.
Jim in Anchorage Posted August 14, 2009 Author Posted August 14, 2009 Nope, but I hear you can get great medical advice on the Milwaukee Brewers message board. I went there to admit I ws a alcoholic.
ThereIsNoDog Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Better hope it's nothing serious. No health insurance...
Ramius Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Have you tried changing your diet at all? Maybe getting more fiber? Or maybe eating yogurt and such to get your natural bacterial levels back to norm?
Jim in Anchorage Posted August 14, 2009 Author Posted August 14, 2009 Have you tried changing your diet at all? Maybe getting more fiber? Or maybe eating yogurt and such to get your natural bacterial levels back to norm? Funny you would bring yogurt up. Never ate it in my life, thought it was for hippie vegan fruitcakes. Then a short time ago[days} I decided to to try activia, and was amazed how good it was, [particularly with strawberry's] and my stomach seems to like it. I guess it takes some time for the bacteria to really get established though
