The Poojer Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I have been catching a video of theirs on the screen at the gym I go to...I must say, i kind of like the song... Zero
MattyT Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 "Yeah" I do. Good to work out to (or so I've been told).
The Dean Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I have been catching a video of theirs on the screen at the gym I go to...I must say, i kind of like the song... Zero I stand by by initial (hunch) response. But I must know, they force you to watch/listen to this at the gym? Are you involved in some sort of psychological experiment? Dude, find another gym.

Are you involved in some sort of psychological experiment? Dude, find another gym. Now that's funny. But I did like the song. Has a Chrissie Hynde/80's feel to it. I'll look into more of their stuff.
extrahammer Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 This is one of the few girl bands I've gotten into. A good song is Gold Lion. Passion Pit and The Sounds are the other 2.
WVUFootball29 Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 This is a far better song: Maps Thanks to Rock Band I despise that song
ThereIsNoDog Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Thanks to Rock Band I despise that song Good thing I've never played, or plan on playing, Rock Band. Or Guitar Hero for that matter. I imagine both would ruin a lot of songs.

Tcali Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I have been catching a video of theirs on the screen at the gym I go to...I must say, i kind of like the song... Zero being the music snob that i am i was ready to cut it to shreds,......but thats a great tune!
DrDawkinstein Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 i like em maps is a great song, i like the song black tongue as well. not a fan of the song linked in the first post though. oh well.
GG Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Saw them two weeks ago. The band definitely has a throwback sound, and Karen O is the mythical child of Mick Jagger & Siouxsie Sue/Dale Bozio/Chryssie Hynde. She's great on stage, and perhaps much better than her supporting band. The video you linked doesn't do her justice, as she is amazing live.
MattyT Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 This is one of their better "new" songs. Quite the outfit Karen O is wearing in this one. This version is kinda messy, but the album version is actually pretty tight.
Pete Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I like them, especially their earlier stuff. They remind me of the White Stripes and she is a great singer
