DrFishfinder Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Thanks for the update! Good news about TE, troubling news regarding the backup QBs.
Fixxxer Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 One thing I found interesting during the tight end drills. Of all the tight ends, Derrick Fine seems to run the best routes. He has really good feet, has a very quick plant and an explosive cut. Shawn Nelson also got some looks with the first team. How did Stupar look last night? I was surprised by his play on Sunday. He found open spaces in the secondary, looked very tough on that Baker pass over the middle and he did a fine job blocking. I think if he keeps the hard work up, he might have some room on the roster.
Mike in Syracuse Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Just put a helmet on Van Pelt. I guarantee and he can still play better than either of our backup QB's.

Nelson did get some frist team reps and was split out wide in a few formations.
zdro22 Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 good post, but one quick question... would you take Fitz or Hamdam over JP Losman??? I think it is painfully obvious they wanted a backup that would pose NO threat to Trent. Fitz blows
