Indy Dave Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 The Bills will have a chance to draft a player like Clark or Steinbach in every draft. They opportunity to draft a top talent like McGahee comes around every 10 or 12 years. 111321 Well, yeah...in hindsight I'd vote to draft Willis over those guys. And the more Willis continues to improve and produce, the more clear that hindsight will become. But on draft day in 2003, I was calling for Clark or Steinbach.
Tux of Borg Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 Are those the same experts that think the game will be over at half-time?
Alaska Darin Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 If you had the choice to draft the next Rueben Brown or the next Thurman Thomas, who would you take? I'd take the next Thomas, every time. 111321 Bingo.
Guest Guest_Ennjay_* Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 The "experts" were also writing from the perspective that the Bills (who were coming off an 8-8 year) were poised for playoffs and more and a "future" pick like Willis wouldn't contribute to that in '03. If everyone had lower expectations (like coming off 3-13, new coach, building year), I thnk the "experts" would've toadied to that line instead.
