Sammy Morris, RB, 2000 (New England)

Nate Clements, CB, 2001 (San Francisco)

Jimmy Williams, CB, 2001 (Houston)

Ron Edwards, DT, 2001 (Kansas City)

Mike Williams, OT, 2002 (Washington)

Coy Wire, S, 2002 (Atlanta)

Justin Bannan, DT, 2002 (Baltimore)

Rodney Wright, WR, 2002 (Kansas City)

Willis McGahee, RB, 2003 (Baltimore)

Mario Haggan, LB, 2003 (Denver)

Sam Aiken, WR, 2003 (New England)

Angelo Crowell, LB, 2003 (Tampa Bay)

Tim Anderson, DT, 2004 (Dallas)

Duke Preston, C, 2005 (Green Bay)

Eric King, CB, 2005 (Detroit)

Justin Geisinger, G, 2005 (Carolina)

Terrance Pennington, T, 2006 (New York Giants)

Dwayne Wright, RB, 2007 (New York Giants)

Agree, very mediocre... Nate's the only one I miss.

I'll take Winfield over Nate.

I know the draft is a crap shoot, but hell, I'm starting to see a pattern and the one common denominator with all this is Modrak.

You forgot Travis Henry, RB, 2001 (Leavenworth).

Kidding. Very interesting list. I'm not sure what conclusions to draw, or whether there are any, but hell, it's definitely interesting.

Surprisingly I am not sure I would want any of them back.

Jim Leonhard (UDFA) went from the Ravens to the Jets. Jabari Greer (UDFA) is with the Saints (ouch), Jason Peters (UDFA) is with the Eagles.

May show tht the Bills have been more successful with UDFA than they have in the draft.

I agree. Winfield over Nate IMO.

Billistic with an actual contribution (apparently). Impressive list of undrafted free agents by the Bills. Better than their draftees arguably.

It's hard to evaluate without comparing it to other teams lists but the feeling is of poor drafting.

Thanks for compiling the list, McKinley.

You would, fellow midget & all.

:o

Indeed

Actually, the biggest thing Winfield and I have in common is, when are looking to take someone down, we rarely miss. <_<

Thinking the same thing. I wouldn't have a problem dealing draft picks if I was the Bills for proven NFL talent.

I know the draft is a crap shoot, but hell, I'm starting to see a pattern and the one common denominator with all this is Modrak.

The great mystery with Modrak is how much did people pay attention to him from 01-08. I suspect he was given more control over the draft selections this year, but certainly during TD and the first two years of DJ (I'm not equating the two regimes) he didn't have as much say in who was drafted.

I'm not referring to not selecting Cutler, I can understand why that decision was made. But he allegedly was a McCargo proponent, though other than that I'm not sure.

I still think the draft can be more than a crap-shoot. How many picks does Polian, Jerry Reese, Kevin Colbert, Belichick, AJ Smith, Ozzie Newsome, and a few others get wrong. Their percentage of hits isn't 100%, but it's better than many teams. Talent evaluators are not all created equal.

At this point, I would rather have Crowell than Ellison on the team.

You mean the guy that still can't practice because he can't go 5 mins without having to drain fluid from his knee?

In a heartbeat, winfield was my favorite player, pound for pound has to still be one of the toughest guys in the league and was awesome vs the run!
