scribo Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Only 11 Pro Bowls? Who needs that kind of experience?
Beerball Posted August 11, 2009 Author Posted August 11, 2009 Only 11 Pro Bowls? Who needs that kind of experience? I think that the Saints must be desperate. Yeah, that's it.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 I know I harp on my dislike of Ellison a lot...but really...what in the world are we waiting for? There are plenty of options available to upgrade this OLB spot. We've brought in a crapload of options to replace Ellison (didn't sign anyone, but did bring them in). What are we friggin waiting for?
ThereIsNoDog Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Let sign Bruce. He made the Pro Bowl 11 times as well?
ricojes Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Excellent news, hopefully he is signed by the Saints and we don't have to hear about the Bills should sign him talk anymore....
John from Riverside Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 but that would get in the way of Nick Harris taking the spot
Flbillsfan#1 Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Let sign Bruce. He made the Pro Bowl 11 times as well? Bruce would be better than any DE on the Bills Now. Get er done Russ.
DIE HARD 1967 Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 What the hell do we need an 11 year all pro player for anyway? Keith Ellison will do just fine, and think of the money we will save.
DaGimp Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Bruce would be better than any DE on the Bills Now. Get er done Russ. +1
Fingon Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 It's doubtful that Derrick Brooks is even better than Keith Ellison at this point.
Beerball Posted August 12, 2009 Author Posted August 12, 2009 It's doubtful that Derrick Brooks is even better than Keith Ellison at this point. You could be right, I just wish the team did a better job (than I think they have done) exploring their options.
RJ (not THAT RJ) Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 You could be right, I just wish the team did a better job (than I think they have done) exploring their options. Beerball, I respect your fandom, but your message here highlights the problems with criticizing non-moves. For all we know, they have explored their options, and they may have more info on Brooks than we do. I am not saying we have to simply have faith (the FO has made its share of mistakes), but we should not assume that the absence of moves means the absence of explorations.

They did explore their options. They brought-in June, Keiaho, and Tonoisamoa. The first 2 they felt were no better than Ellison. Tinoisamoa couldn't handle the expectations of being named the starter and is losing the battle with some no-name LB'er on the Bears.

zdro22 Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 I guess Brandon and Dick know better. Guess so...i would have loved to have seen him here. Would have been better then Ellison...here is to Harris panning out!
