The Dean Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 I'm on board with folks that eat 2, 3, 10 times more than I do paying a bigger bill for their food. It's called a "buffet" and they are all over the place. Essentially, ISP service is a buffet. Some ISPs offer plans that charge for how much bandwidth you use. I think you will find they are more expensive, even for moderately low usage.
stuckincincy Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 if they eat 2, 3, 10 times more than you....don't you think they pay 2, 3, 10 times more for that food they are eating? I was in consumer electronics and no, i do not think you should pay half of what i pay for the same tv simply because you watch it half as much as i paid for it.....hey, i'm just sayin' My head's already hurting. Do you want some more wine? I know I do.
The Poojer Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 hahahah...yeah i would love some more wine....but i have an important phone call to tend to first My head's already hurting. Do you want some more wine? I know I do.
WellDressed Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Those comcast journeymen have their home office here in philadelphia. Would you like me to add screw comcast to the bottom of my signature?
ExiledInIllinois Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 What do you do for a living? Can I get ten times of whatever product, service or material goods for the same price as the fellow that pays for one, from you, or your business or your employer? No? Why not? Yes.

I work for the phone company*, so yes you can. I work for a radio station*, so yes you can. I work for the cable company* in the TV department, so yes you can. I work for the satellite company*, so yes you can. I work for Old Country Buffet*, so yes you can. * not really, but it illustrates a point.
tennesseeboy Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 ISPs are fine with former but not latter. Doesn't the former, by definition, require the latter?

PromoTheRobot Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 650 GB is a crapload of bandwidth. That's like downloading 20 movies a day! Your router would be smoking. Something ain't right. PTR
