Steely Dan Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Link She said it never occurred to her that she could wind up in prison. Asked whether she had any regrets, Fromme said, "No. No, I don't. I feel it was fate." However, she said she thought that her incarceration was "unnecessary" and that she couldn't see herself repeating her offense. __________________________________________________________ Federal inmates serving life are generally paroled after 30 years, unless the parole commission decides to block the release, according to a commission spokesman. Inmates who are paroled remain under supervision until the commission decides to terminate the sentence. You've gotta be kidding me!! Well I guess we'll see how this works out. What a dumb thing to do!! A "Life" sentence needs to mean a "Life" sentence!!
The Senator Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Now, if I should make any reference to her assassination attempt on President Ford, would that be veering off-topic?
The Senator Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I'm sorry, but I do not wish to be chastised nor admonished - what's the topic here? Is this thread about the Summer of 1969, Charles Manson, or Lynette 'Sqeaky' Fromme - Gerald Ford's would-be assassin?
The Dean Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I'm sorry, but I do not wish to be chastised nor admonished - what's the topic here? Is this thread about the Summer of 1969, Charles Manson, or Lynette 'Sqeaky' Fromme - Gerald Ford's would-be assassin? Obviously, both.
Steely Dan Posted August 5, 2009 Author Posted August 5, 2009 Obviously, both. As far as I can remember her attempt to kill Ford didn't impress Jodi Foster.
The Dean Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 As far as I can remember her attempt to kill Ford didn't impress Jodi Foster. Crayonz?
Steely Dan Posted August 5, 2009 Author Posted August 5, 2009 Crayonz? That's it!! You are "officially" on my list!!
The Senator Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Obviously, both. Then why is SD posting links about Woodstock and Apollo 11?
The Dean Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Then why is SD posting links about Woodstock? I think he is off his meds.
Steely Dan Posted August 6, 2009 Author Posted August 6, 2009 I think he is off his meds. I'm still on my meds jackass! Oh wait, pretend I didn't say that.
PromoTheRobot Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 What puzzles me more is letting go the guy who blew up Pan Am Flt 103 over Locherbie, Scotland. Mass murderers should never see the light of day again. Execution is too good. PTR
Steely Dan Posted August 14, 2009 Author Posted August 14, 2009 It's official (CNN) -- Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme was released from federal custody Friday, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Bureau of Prisons said."
Wacka Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I'm sorry, but I do not wish to be chastised nor admonished - what's the topic here? Is this thread about the Summer of 1969, Charles Manson, or Lynette 'Sqeaky' Fromme - Gerald Ford's would-be assassin? You're old enough to remember Manson. Why do you ask?
The Poojer Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 that hasn't been decided yet, they said it was for 'compassionate reasons' or something like that...he should rot in hell What puzzles me more is letting go the guy who blew up Pan Am Flt 103 over Locherbie, Scotland. Mass murderers should never see the light of day again. Execution is too good. PTR
Steely Dan Posted August 14, 2009 Author Posted August 14, 2009 Helter skelter [this is an automated response. This subject is currently being discussed in another thread, Jackass!]
