DNC now calling angry average Americans a mob

Recommended Posts

Wow, the DNC's' brilliant PR plan is to start marginalizing all of the angry people at the town hall meetings and paint them as part of an organized mob from the far right?

I knew these liberal politicians were arrogant, but it's clear that they're certifiable. "It's not us who's wrong, it's them! They're nothing but a right-wing wacko organized mob. We know that the real Americans love our plan." Good freaking luck with that strategy...

If they keep running with this insane plan of action, Sarah Palin will be the FAVORITE to win the Presidency in 2012. :wallbash:

There's nothing wrong with people showing up to town hall meetings with their representatives to listen to their views, ask questions, and offer civil debate and alternatives. But to just show up and shout them down so there can't be a civil discourse is just an attempt to shut down debate and get some publicity. I don't like it when Code Pink does it on the left, and I don't like it when these Astroturfers (faux grassroots) do it, because it just turns the debate into a shouting match.

If you really have a different viewpoint, then show up and engage in some honest debate and offer alternatives. Just following the marching orders of Dick Army and other lobbyists, and shouting people down and saying "No" isn't going to solve any problems.

The only thing that's "astroturf" are the brains of these liberal politicians. None of which will have jobs after the 2010 elections.

Personally, I enjoy all of this because it's always a joy to watch the left come up with condescending names for anyone who disagrees with them. They're teabaggers! They're birthers! They right-wing extremists! They're astro-turfers! You guys do Saul Alinsky proud. "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon."But no...these right wing wacko birther astro-turfing teabagging people are fringe radicals.

I also give you credit for quickly picking up on Robert Gibbs' press conference/talking point. That dolt is my favorite part of the Obama administration. :wallbash:

100% agree. Although I don't think this is all organized, there really is outrage. Even I sent an email to my senator and congressman which I've never done before, and would go to a town hall if they held one. I'm not part of anything, I just don't agree with this healthcare plan and is something that can't be taken back once voted through.

According to PJ, you're an astroturfer...

Now you're just being silly.

Or wishful.

I actually called my congresscritter about the health bill as well, speacifically the tax raises in the House plan (I have never done this before). Got back a form letter detailing why he supported it.

And that's really my point. I left a message with my congressman and got a form letter back, as well. No one called to ask what my thoughts were. It was simply, "Here's my position." That's what is happening all over the place, so naturally when elected officials consistently respond to their constituents with a form letter, then when they finally open the big doors for feedback, people are going to start yelling.

But, y'know, people really aren't upset. They're just fringe astro-turfing teabagging birthers put in place by the insurance industry to disrupt the approval of a plan that has absolutely, positively no plan to it.

I think that the mouth-breathing sweathogs like yourself are following Alinsky's playbook much more closely than any liberal has.

Questions should be prepared. Most pols are pros at deflecting off-the-cuff

questions. The questions should contam facts and numbers (which are

embarrassing and damning to the Rep and his voting record). They can run up to

five sentences or so - you will not be cut off at that length. The questions should

put the Rep on the defensive and demand a specific answer. Also, anticipate the

evasive, deflective answer and be prepared with a quick follow-up. The questions

should personalize the Rep why did YOU Yote for a budget that immediately

carried with it a $1.7 trillion deficit? Use the Alinskyplaybook of which the Left

is so fond: freeze it, attack it, personalize it, and polarize it. You only need to

distribute five or six well constructed questions. There are some questions

attached here which apply to most any Democrat that is supporting the Socialist

agenda.

You mean because Republican politicians aren't arrogant? Really? And IF Sarah Palin becomes the favorite to win the Presidency at some point, she'll just have to open her mouth to turn that around...

Bingo. Show up and engage in a heated discussion. Perhaps a logical, well-thought out argument would win people over.

But ... sending Brown Shirts to disrupt the meeting. That's anti-American.

When are the REASONABLE REPUBLICANS - if there are any left - going to realize they've been hijacked and get RID of these losers?! I would really like my country back. I'm tired of all this bullshirt.
