Guest Guest_eyedog_* Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Boise would get killed by Mich, Texas, and Cal also. I too think Auburn should be in the BCS Championship game if they win out. If all three win out someone is getting screwed. Bring on the play-off.

BUT that is not what the writers want.
spidey Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Auburn gained points and took some from both USC and OU by NOT playing this week. As close as Auburn is to OU I have a feeling they bypass OU in BOTH Polls with a win over Georgia. Man that would suck. Get bypassed because you are winning? I'd like to see Some of these teams go into Stillwater or College station and try winning there. It's flat out tough. I am NOT by any stretch saying Auburn isn't great, they are, but damn. Penalise a team because they won ON THE ROAD against teams that are top 25 teams AND always play you well? Playoffs people...Playoffs. 109598 This is a Bills board you think we care about OU and whatever else non Bills football related stuff people post.
BuffOrange Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Ok then why is it that OU's opponants overall record is BETTER than USC or Auburns? check it out. 109980 I don't know - there are lots of variables that go into that - such as what kind of schedule your opponents have played. All I know is that when I look at the SEC, I don't see any Baylors or Kansas's - or at least not as many (only Kentucky off the top of my head is really bad). The Pac 10 isn't much better, but at least they have Cal - who is the best 1-loss team out there IMO. If Texas is the 2nd best team in your conference, I'm not impressed - they're as one-dimensional as they come. Seriously, I can throw a better ball than their QB.
Ramius Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Amen, ICE. Playoffs are exactly what is needed. If they can do it in divisions 1-AA, II, & III, why not in 1-A?Here's another joke, Florida State is ranked number 12 in the BCS. This is a team that loses to Miami & Maryland, squeaks by Syracuse, and beats Wake Forest by 3 points. And despite all of that, they are ranked 12th? That puts them ahead of West Virginia, Tennessee, Louisville, Oklahoma St. & Texas A&M. There is no way that the Seminoles are that good. 109730 Quite obviously you havent watched us play all season...i agree the maryland game was a f*ck-up, but both losses were close, by 3 points and 6 points...we didnt get blown out like half the other teams you mentioned, jackass... lets see, if our old kicker doesnt go 1-4 FG's against maryland, thats a win, and the miami game was a toss-up, we shoulda had that one too...as bad as *you* claim we are, we are that close to being undefeated and right up there with the other big shots... the real team gettin screwed by this whole system in Utah...they are unbeaten, score 63 points, yet get passed in the BCS by 1-loss texas...a playoff is the only way to go...

Those are 2 bad losses. And if Syracuse doesn't miss 2 FG's and fumble on the 5, you lose that game. Syracuse is a bad team. I think we can all agree that playoffs would be a good thing though.

If a win is a win, then a loss has to be a loss.
