scoring is not hardy Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-training-cam...fringe-Coy-Wire Hard not to like this guy. Any team would be lucky to have him.
PJBrown Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 I always liked Wire.....if you could put his sport "heart" in someone like Rob Johnson or Mike Williams the past 15 years would be different for us. Cory I hope you have an awesome season and kick butt every game except 12/27!
billsfan89 Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Did we cut Wire or did he just leave when his contract expired I forgot? To me Wire was a pedestrian player who gave all he had out on the field. The guy had heart even though he didn't have the most talent you knew he gave you the best he had. He was the perfect back up as a starter the guy wasn't someone you could count on. He was a pretty decent special teamer and could start a few games a year in place of an injured guy. Any team would be lucky to have a bunch of guys like Wire coming off the bench. I wish Wire was still on the team he could really inject a solid work ethic to the younger guys.
bklnpete Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Recall if you will the play where Wire and Whitner put the hurtin' on the receiver formally known as Chad Johnson. I was actually saying before that game " I hope Johnson gets crushed today" only to feel a little sorry for him after the hit.
C.Biscuit97 Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Great guy and a hard worker who managed to stay in the NFL for a long time. I have a lot of respect for him. But I will be very happy to face an Atlanta team with him starting on defense.
StupidNation Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Great guy, I was happy to see him go. He cannot play defense in the NFL. He's the perfect combination of small and slow.
