The Poojer Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 I wish I had 1 speck of drive and determination....
buckeyemike Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 It's a terrific story. The high school these two guys attended (Lincoln-West, which is on the near west side of Cleveland) is maybe the poorest school in the poorest big city in America. I hope that a college fund will be established for them. They have overcome so much. They deserve it. Thanks for sharing Pooj.
Kingfish Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Here's another feel-good Cleveland wrestling story.
Chef Jim Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 I caught it today and thought it was an incredible story. At the end of the story they mentioned that they wanted to attend college but didn't know if they could afford it. These two could make enough to attend Harvard if they went on a motivation speaking tour. I was very impressed with their maturity. My school had a great wrestling team and they would take on the Blind School in Batavia every year. Even as a teenage "burner" who at times didn't give two shiits about the local sports I always made time to watch the matches when them came to our school. One of the few times I rooted against our team. Good stuff.
