The poll choices are only allowed 20 at a time. So I had to split Craig's films off onto another question. If you want to vote pre-Craig and the Craig films you can, or you just vote for one.

For the best Bond I'm voting Craig. His Bond is very dark and cold. Connery's Bond was a little campy. Lazenby's Bond was pretty good but it's been a long time since I've seen OHMSS. Moore's Bond was really campy. Dalton's Bond was closer to the Bond books and had little camp. Brosnan's was ok and I think had little camp to it.

As for the Connery films there is one where he's driving a lunar rover through through the desert during a faking of the moon landing and its just too campy for me.

The Moore films were really campy. Anytime a slide whistle is used in a Bond film it really takes away from the Bond Mystique.

I will pass on OHMSS because it was so long ago that I saw it.

Dalton's films are very good. They return Bond closer to the JB of the Fleming novels.

Brosnan's JB was pretty good. I think the films had little camp but his JB isn't as dark as the books were. Same with Dalton's JB but Dalton's better than Brosnan.

The Craig films are great. Casino Royale is very close to the book. Quantum of Solace is great. I may be biased because I just finished watching it.

I've read all of Flemings Bond books and one by John Gardner, (Not the John Gardner) "Icebreaker". So I'm probably biased when it comes to ranking the Bonds and the movies. It was a long time ago when I read them so forgive me if I have some of my book facts wrong.

So pre-Craig is "License to Kill" and of the Craig films "Quantum of Solace" JMO

BTW, I like Judy Dench as M.

Well, I can't vote in the poll since I haven't seen every flick but I will say that I liked Brosnan's portrayal the best. Connery is usually the standard by which the others are judged but I grew up watching Moore as Bond...but I also grew up watching Pierce Brosnan as Remington Steele and felt Brosnan could do the character more justice than Moore...and I was right, IMO.

As far as the Craig movies, I give the nod to Quantum Of Solace by default....because I didn't care for Casino Royale in the least

I'd have to go with casino royale as my favorite bond movie. I'd rate Craig's character portrayal over Connery's, but the best Bond ever has to go to Sean Connery... Like I said, Craig did a better job with the character, but you can't really put someone else over the original. This is why I went with Connery.

I actually liked the campy bond movies. Moore's bond was hilarious and I did enjoy every one of his movies too.

Favorite movie by character:

Connery--From Russia with Love

Lazenby--OHMSS

Moore--Live and Let Die

Dalton--Living Daylights

Brosnan--Golden Eye

Craig--Casino Royale (not to spoil the ending, but the last scene of that movie, especially the last line delivered literally sent shivers down my spine. Truly awesome)

I ranked from russia... as my favorite, because I really haven't seen any of the connery movies in a long time. I got the box set when it came out about 10 years ago, so its been about that long since i watched them all. Might have to do it again soon!

Connery followed closely by Moore...altho I think the other guys were all pretty good. From Russia With Love...followed by Her Majesty's Secret Service

I agree with that, for most situations, but there are some things that are better than the original IMO. I like ELO's version of "Roll over Beethoven" better than the original because it opens with a piece of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, which is very creative. You can take something great and then put your personal stamp on it and it make it better. JMO
