faderphreak Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Las Vegas Locomotives New York Sentinels Orlando Tuskers San Francisco Rockfish Wiki UFL It's currently unofficial but the names are pretty hilarious They missed the boat on so many levels. Orlando could've been the Sentinels and had a great tie in with that waste of a newspaper. Who knows, maybe they tried it and the Slantinel told them "Hell No! We don't want a second rate product tie in to our second rate product"
DrDawkinstein Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Each team will unofficially tie itself to a pair of divisions in the National Football League. Orlando, for instance, will be allowed first rights to players who last played in the NFL for a team in the NFC South or AFC South Interesting!
WVUFootball29 Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 the league hasn't even announced the names yet...looks like some jackass did the cool thing and did his own wiki update.
Buffalo Destroyers! Posted August 1, 2009 Author Posted August 1, 2009 the league hasn't even announced the names yet...looks like some jackass did the cool thing and did his own wiki update. Doubt it, cause the Orlando sentinel is reporting it. But it is unofficial as of yet.

faderphreak Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Doubt it, cause the Orlando sentinel is reporting it. But it is unofficial as of yet. The Slantinel is about as reliable a source as wiki. Funny they made the same comment about the "Orlando Sentinels" being too easy.

They will be nic-named the "Locos". It seems to me this pathetic 4 team experiment was the brain-child of somebody "Mucho Loco"!
Ennjay Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Per the footnote: As per entries in the United States Patent and Trademark Office database, searchable under "United Football League" at USPTO.gov This is legitimate, except per the USPTO the league also owns a "Florida Tuskers" mark. Um . . . what's a "tusker"? Is the mascot an elephant? Or better yet a walrus?

B. I'd love to see it evolve into a minor league system for every team in the NFL. Ala baseball but just one backup team.
