DC Tom Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 More troops = more casualties = failure. The only way to win is not to fight. [/ignorant American public]

Nanker Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 There will never be lasting peace in that region of the world until they all convert to Judaism.
swede316 Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 America will never win this war...and here's why...We aren't tough enough...As long as liberals create rules of engagement...We will fail. When dealing with animals...treat them like animals. I have only one question..Who's willing to go further to win..Us or them?
Alaska Darin Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 America will never win this war...and here's why...We aren't tough enough...As long as liberals create rules of engagement...We will fail. When dealing with animals...treat them like animals. I have only one question..Who's willing to go further to win..Us or them? Yeah, that'll work well. Ask the Soviets.
swede316 Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Ah...If only we could combine the Soviet brutality with modern American capability in fighting an insurgent war. Modern warfare has shown that as long as the guerillas aren't supplied by another modern force...It can be won. The Soviets may well still be in Afghanistan if we didn't supply them with Stingers.
Magox Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Yeah, that'll work well. Ask the Soviets. The Afghans at that time at least had the support of the Americans. That's the main difference, not to mention that there is a coalition along with the effort as well. It looks as if there is growing support to double the amount of Afghan troops. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=206...id=aAFZskgzLx1U
