K-No Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 IIRC, other teams with big O-line changes had their guys on the field into the 2nd half of a few pre-season games trying to get extra reps and see as many different situations as possible. This thinking may be appropriate here as we know any success hinges on the play of the O-line. The 5th game is a bonus IMO. Thoughts?

If Jauron thinks Wood and Levitre are good enough to start the first game of the season, let 'em play the first 2+ quarters. If they likely will not start, let them play from the 3rd offensive series on after Jauron jerks out the starters.

Your only real concern is injury, which can happen at any time and should take a back back seat to getting these guys ready for a game that counts.

Thoughts? unfortunately Jauron hasnt shown that he is willing to play his guys a lot during the preseason especially when changes have been made....they were in a similar situation a few years ago on the O-line although not with rookies but he didnt play them nearly enough and with his camp cupcake approach they simply didnt look ready when the season started its also a joke this team is done with 2 a days already

A few pre-season snaps won't make all that much difference, IMHO. They are likely to take till late in the season or even till next year. And that assumes that all the moves work out. Usually when you make five moves, one or two, on average, won't work out. Look at Dockery, that looked like a great move at the time.
