At the same time the recipient's who pay are really the ones who bother me ... just because you have money does not mean you should get to play god with the lives of others. Steely Dan Posted July 27, 2009 Share Posted July 27, 2009 When I was at Strong and working in the O.R. they prepped a patient in an operating room so when the kidney arrived they could put it in immediately. When it showed up it had been so poorly harvested the surgeon couldn't use it. To say he was incredibly pissed off would be an extreme understatement. As the article says it takes three years to get one. That patient I'm sure was next in line but finding a donor with the same blood type and all of the other necessary things isn't easy. I can't imagine being a member of the family that had to be told about that. BTW, I'm sure they never used black market kidney's. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
