inkman Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Orientated. Hell the spell check even accepts it. I guess it is considered OK. Why? What happened to "oriented"? Well, it is a word. It's just that no one uses it correctly. Ninety-nine percent of the time they should use oriented but some how in the today's culture it has become widely used. Same goes for supposably as opposed to supposedly. People are stupid, and getting dumber by the minute.
Chef Jim Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 We really had a good debate at work over whether to hire rocknkitten_69. What the hell were you debating?
inkman Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 ...is the butchering of "seen". I seen people like that.
The Dean Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 What the hell were you debating? Male or female, perhaps?
shrader Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 I seen people like that. I still can't tell if it's a butchering of seen or the inability to add the " 've" and the end of I.
Chef Jim Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 I still can't tell if it's a butchering of seen or the inability to add the " 've" and the end of I. Dude's got tats, enough said. But I could be wrong...maybe you should axe him.
Chef Jim Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Male or female, perhaps? A quick phone call should solve that. But all it really would take is a face to face interview to end the debate.
The Poojer Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 I just got off a phone interview and I swear i detected hints of "axe" which definitely stuck out, but did not detract from the professional attitude she displayed on the phone.....but with this thread fresh in my mind....i could not help but be slightly distracted by it, slightly

The Poojer Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 yeah, i am unemployed so me conducting interviews would be kind of useless She was doing the interview?
thebug Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 yeah, i am unemployed so me conducting interviews would be kind of useless Would be kinda funny though.....So what you are saying is that someone who may have used "axe" in her vocabulary is in a position to hire someone? That can't be true.
The Poojer Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 i guess if Kramer can get an intern...... it can be true......and she was a (shhhhhhh...........) woman....... Would be kinda funny though.....So what you are saying is that someone who may have used "axe" in her vocabulary is in a position to hire someone? That can't be true.

Just Jack Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 If you are interviewing for a job or applying for an apartment/rental, the appropriate way to conduct yourself is in a professional manner, which does NOT include the word axe. What if I'm applying to be a ?
