2003Contenders Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Gotta figure that the Byrd signing is (or at least should be) imminent given the close proximity of the contracts before him and after him.

Yeah, really. That one seems to be a no-brainer. Wood's shouldn't be difficult either. I really only see Maybin being any sort of a protracted situation.
BuffaloBlood Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 I dont think that Maybin is waiting only on Crabtree to slot himself but really anyone from 8-10 to sign. His agent jsut wants that other number to play against Knowshons deal.

stuckincincy Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Perfect storm for holdout By Joe Reedy Cincinnati Enquirer August 9, 2009 ..."Instead of Heyward-Bey's signing triggering a flurry of other signings, it created the opposite effect. By giving a 22 percent increase over last year's No. 7 contract, the Raiders blew the salary structure out of the water, creating gridlock from picks 8-11 - with no appearance it will end any time soon. "They heavily paid for Heyward-Bey. One team does it and the other picks want to get the same thing (in terms of an increase), which creates a lot of anguish," said Michael Lombardi, a former NFL executive who runs the National Football Post."... http://news.cincinnati.com/article/2009080...orm+for+holdout

Always a puke, he's obviously become a senile old puke.
