Sadly no. He would be perfect in this system and yet...we do nothing.

I think he will sign somewhere, and he fits our scheme. There can't be many teams that he fits, so we have to be on the short list of possibilities.

I completely agree. I wasn't arguing with you about the fact that Brooks would seemingly be a perfect fit here. I'm just saying that since we've made no effort to pursue him thus far (shockingly to some) I don't see why they would all of a sudden gain interest in him. They seem surprisingly content with Keith Ellison starting opposite Kawika and Poz. I guess we'll see now won't we...

The guy probably doesn't want to go through a full camp. He will pick a team later in the preseason. We have a need and he fits our scheme. I think we are a real possibility.

I would think the injury of a solid backup in DiGiorgio would put more pressure on the FO to find a veteran linebacker. Seeing how they brought in numerous free agents at the beginning of the offseason, they must've seen it as a need already. I would imagine even more so at this point. Here's holding out hope for a Brooks/Burgess/Wilhelm signing in the near future.
