He did in great part - a botched surgery for something else nicked his vocal cords or their nerves - I forget what it was. But fortunately, he has reasonably recovered.

He had exploratory surgery for a heart ailment that was later diagnosed as viral cardimyopathy. They nicked a nerve during that procedure which left his vocal cord paralyzed.

Hate to see him get into politics as a Republican. I don't want to know anything about his sex life or those of his family or how much money he stole from poor people or bribed from contractors/lobbyists - not to mention how racist he's become since being a HC in the NFL.
