SKOOBY Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 But lawyer David Cornwell strongly denied the allegations Monday night, in a statement released to PFT. "Ben has never sexually assaulted anyone; especially Andrea McNulty," Cornwell said. In the civil suit, which Cornwell confirms was served on Roethlisberger over the weekend and a copy of which our own Gregg Rosenthal has obtained, McNulty alleges that Roethlisberger asked her to come to his hotel room to fix the television, and that he thereafter forced her to have sex with him. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/...sexual-assault/
SKOOBY Posted July 21, 2009 Author Posted July 21, 2009 Seems fishy but after Big Ben's motorcycle crash, what is out of character?
The Dean Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 How in the world does a motorcycle accident, years ago, figure into whether you think Ben did, or did not, have any culpability in this incident? As for this woman being a "greedy whore", it might do us all well to see how this plays out. Women actually do get attacked, and sometimes it is by men with money. Of course, some of them see an opportunity to collect. I have no idea what kind of woman this Andrea McNulty is, and I doubt anyone else here does. According to her linked-in page, Andrea is a marketing executive at Harrah's: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/andrea-mcnulty/a/1a8/78a Or could it be the Niagara County Legislator with the same name? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrea_McNulty
silvermike Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Another money grab by a greedy whore. Are you basing that on anything in particular? It seems like a pretty open case at the moment, without any evidence besides an accusation and a denial.

Firstly, one difference between this and the Kobe situation is that I believe the woman in the Kobe case made her allegations a few months after the incident. In this case, the allegations came to light about one year after the fact. Secondly in the Kobe case, there were criminal charges filed against Bryant. In this case there has been no criminal charges. Finally if this woman is a "marketing director" as her linkedin profile states, what was she doing fixing a television in his hotel room? It's too early to make a judgement on this of course but these are serious differences in the two cases.

And what exactly IS a marketing executive at casino hotel? It could mean most anything. I can see someone in marketing doing "whatever it takes" so to speak (no sexual innuendo intended), to make a high profile customer happy and fixing a TV could mean different things, I suppose. The year delay is quite odd, I agree.
Fingon Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Are you basing that on anything in particular? It seems like a pretty open case at the moment, without any evidence besides an accusation and a denial. She files a civil lawsuit, seeking damages, but no complaint to the police? Yeah, if that's not a money grubbing whore, then i don't know what is. She also claims her co-workers covered it all up... yeah.. real trustworthy. Not to mention the "rape" took place over a year ago.
Endless Ike Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 how does one "especially" not sexually assault someone?
Big Turk Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Another money grab by a greedy whore. wonder if she got her ass wrecked like Kobe's girl did...err...allegedly did...

Or maybe not.
kota Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Yawn..... Sexual Assault is never a good thing but suing a year after the fact seems like a reach.
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 there is a picture of Fathead looking like an inebriated stooge next to a very very attractive lady...google it.
BLZFAN4LIFE Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 how does one "especially" not sexually assault someone? My exact thought as I read that quote.
Fingon Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 I think "Andrea McNulty pulls a Katelyn Faber" would be a more fitting title.

It's a shame that you don't know that you don't know what she is.

Yeah, her rape must have slipped her mind for a year, and she's just remembering it now. That, and all the hotel staff are in league with Big Ben to cover it up. A mass conspiracy makes perfect sense! This is clearly nothing more than a badly disguised extortion.
SKOOBY Posted July 21, 2009 Author Posted July 21, 2009 Maybe her gambling tab got real high (addict) & she needed Ben to bail her out?? I actually think that he did get with her and it was consensual at the time but now she is crying foul. That's the only way she would have a sliver of hope of collecting anything in a civil trial where the burden of proof neccesary to win is much less than a criminal trial.
