GOBILLS78 Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Not just good. Top 10! Thanks for clearing things up, Dean. I just can't believe nobody has posted this mind-blowing information earlier. Teams tend to win more games if they have a top 10 defense. I never thought of it that way. Do other teams know about this? They should. Everybody should try be a top 10 defense, then, I assume. Maybe I'm just still confused.
billsfan89 Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Having a top 10 D works 70% of the time 100% of the time.
Thoner7 Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 The true key is being able to run the football. When you can eat up yards on the ground the clock ticks and ticks and ticks. The other team cant score on with their O on the bench and your d looks better because they are on the field less and see less series/plays. Pittsburgs D was great but if they didnt have the running game they had/have they wouldnt have had those same numbers. Buffalos D will be better as our OL improves our running game, althought our pass rush problem is far from solved. PS we also need a playmaked at OLB (my bet is on the OK stud Nic Harris)
murra Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 This thread is excellent. Can we continue to point out the failures in all of SKOOBY's threads?
Pitta Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Which is just huge. It goes to show you that without a good D, you're probably not seeing the playoffs. Guess who had the hardest schedule last season as well and the best Defense Yardage allowed??
