BillsWatch Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_12868958 Shanahan has a clause in his contract that prevents him from saying practically anything about the Broncos. He will receive $7 million this season for not coaching and not ripping the Broncos. Interesting. I have heard comments why Shanahan did not get back on coaching bandwagon but this was not one of them. Coaches get fully paid when they are cut but I never heard of "loose lips means lose it" clause. Perhaps we could do same thing on board for Top 10 Bills 'fan" detractors. Anybody got a dollar to split between them?
BuffaloBill Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 If you are lucky enough to ever land in a situation where you get an employment contract (not just an at-will arrangement which 99% of us operate under) the "shut your yap" clause is pretty standard.
DC Tom Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Hell, I won't say anything about the Broncos for $1M.
Albany,n.y. Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 For $7 million I would maintain a monk like silence.

Lurker Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 I never heard of "loose lips means lose it" clause. Actually, that's a pretty standard clause in any high-profile management contract. These guys get hired to get fired...
