Nervous Guy Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 indeed...we respond much better when being referred to as "jerks".

/dev/null Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 hun and sweetie are annoying but tolerable champ and sport are also annoying and tolerable, and somewhat humourous what annoys me is when people at work refer to me as kid
gantrules Posted November 8, 2004 Author Posted November 8, 2004 Kid is degrading unless it's a coach.....or your homies.
Like A Mofo Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 How about when someone calls you "chief"....am I part of a tribe???
erynthered Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 Calling customers Dude, goes over well too.
MattyT Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 Yeah, "Chief" and "Boss" are my personal pet peeves. How much more condescending can you get?

Surfmeister Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 Here in the South I'm called "Hun" and "Sweetie" all the time. Every once in a while someone calls me Gregie-poo but that is very seldom. You know what they all have in common? They are terms of endearment. I think it's nice and I hope it never stops. At least no one is calling me Gramps or Pee Paw ! Dadgummit, hang in there Bubba ~
