bartshan-83 Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 You may never see a better punt than the one he hit that bounced at the 1 foot line with all that wind. That kick gave us 2 points. If McGahee wasn't looking so sweet, I'd be real tempted to order that #8 jersey....
duey Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 He really does feel the love from this board, doesn't he? He nails the hot punts, and creamed on return coverge to boot! MOOREMAN MOOREMAN MOOREMAN!!!!!!
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 I think we love Moorman because of his punting. But beyond that, what other punter in the league has a 35 yard run and 25 yard pass. That pass especially was a thing of beauty--perfect spiral in stride to the WR.
Paco Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 You can especially appreciate him after that punt by Cleveland's kicker from the very short endzone last night. If memory serves, that kick made it all the way to the Baltimore seven yard line.
stevestojan Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 Plus, what other punter comes off the field, stands on the bench and gets the crowd pumped? I mean, really. Moorman is !@#$ing awesome.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 Another thing: people might have forgotten this incident. It was Moorman's first year here--I think it was during our 3-13 campaign. We were at San Diego and late in the game the Chargers returned a punt almost back for a TD until Moorman ran the dude out of bounds and then nailed him out of bounds. He was called for a late hit on the play. While that penalty might be a bone-head move for any other player, when your punter is getting called for late hits, that is flat-out tough.
