bartshan-83 Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 I've seen his stats (leads team in tackles, 2 INTs) but I was wondering if anyone has seen him in any extended action? I always preferred him to Clements but it was obvious that he was not worth the jack Minny paid him. Anyone?

Anyone? 107922[/snapback] From what I've seen of him this year, he's playing about the same he did for us, with the exception that he actually held onto a couple picks....Still a solid corner, better tackler than cover guy. He's worth a bunch of $$ too, but maybe only half of what Minny paid him IMHO.
Alaska Darin Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 He's playing the way he did for us. He's actually dropped at least 2 more picks that I've seen (one of which would have been an EASY six if he'd held the PERFECTLY thrown ball. They play alot of zone. You'll be able to see him tonight if you want. It'll be interesting to watch him matched up against Wayne/Harrison/Stokely

DCgirl Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 Yeah - I preferred him to Clements as well - although not for the $$ he got. I hate to say I was thinking during the game when McGee was getting fried that I really missed AW. Of course, that wasn't fair since Vincent is really the guy that should be in there - the Bills organization didn't expect McGee to take AW's place.

I wonder what the result would have been had ANY other safety in the NFL been in there instead of Reese on the last play. Dude showed all the aggressiveness of Barney the Dinosaur playing a poorly thrown ball that was no more than six feet off the ground when the receiver caught it. Izell Reese simply sucks. We'd almost be better off playing with 10 men.

It will be interesting to see what the Bills brass does this week with Troy Vincent in lieu of McGee's toasting. Personally, I think we can let the kid play and get Vincent to safety. Kevin Thomas can be the nicle corner, or even PP who played it the first couple games of the season ahead of Thomas. I can't for the life of me figure out why McGee was slipping so much, which accounted for about half of the recptions and more than half of the yards he gave up yesterday. He didn't slip on returns, it wasn't wet, no one else was slipping, it's a good turf, and a lot of times he looked like he just, well, slipped, for no reason.

When he's carrying the ball, he's doing things naturally. Hence the reason he looks so good at it. He's going to be just fine when he stops trying so hard and let's the game come to him. I bet he's pretty darn good next season.

He is no different as a corner than when he was here. How he has 2 picks is beyond me. Let's just consider ourselves fortunate that he isn't a Jest.
